Doug ‘VB’ Goudie, who was let go from iHeartMedia Conservative Talk 680 WRKO Boston as part of November’s layoffs, is returning to the company to host mornings on News/Talk 810 WGY/103.1 WGY-FM Albany NY.
Goudie hosted “VB In the Middle” at WRKO from November 2018 to November 2020 after previously co-hosting mornings at the station. He previously was a longtime producer for the Howie Carr Show and a commentator for WFXT-TV Boston. He will join incumbent co-host Kelly Lynch filling the opening created by last year’s retirement of Chuck Custer after 36 years.
HeartMedia Albany’s News Radio 810 & 103.1 WGY, The Capital Region’s Breaking News, Traffic & Weather Station, announced today that Doug Goudie will join the morning show along with current co-host Kelly Lynch, effective January 7, 2021. The morning show broadcasts weekdays from 5:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.

Goudie fills the vacancy created in December after former co-host Chuck Custer retired after more than 36 years with WGY.
