2G Media Sports “730 The Game ESPN Charlotte” WZGV Cramerton/97.5 W248CO Charlotte will launch an expanded afternoon show on Monday, February 1.
Current morning co-host Molly Cotten will join current 4-7pm hosts Bobby Rosinski and Mark Yarbro on “The Afternoon Rush” from 2-6pm. Cotten currently co-hosts “The Wake Up Call” from 7-10am with Walker Mehl. Mehl will remain with the station as “SportsCenter CLT” anchor with updates in mornings and afternoons. WZGV will add ESPN Radio’s Keyshawn, JWill and Zubin in morning drive.
The Afternoon Rush will air weekday afternoon (2pm – 6pm) on 730 The Game ESPN Charlotte, hosted by Bobby Rosinski, Mark Yarbro and Molly Cotten. Rosinski and Yarbro are both veteran sports broadcasters in the Charlotte market. In addition to providing listeners with up to the moment news of their favorite local teams, the pair provides color for several local professional and college teams.
Cotten will appear daily on The Afternoon Rush coming from mornings. She will bring her insider knowledge and the latest news of sports and pop culture as the area’s only female sports radio personality. Program Director and host Bobby Rosinski says “the new show will be a different vibe, more of a barbershop conversation.”
ESPN’s Keyshawn, JWill and Zubin will now air weekdays (6am – 10am) along with SportsCenter CLT with Walker Mehl featuring both a morning and evening edition. The evening edition will air at 6pm weeknights and it will recap the day in sports and preview games that are taking place each night. The Afternoon Rush will also be available in podcast format on ESPNCLT.com beginning February 1, 2021 with more podcast shows from the afternoon crew expanding this Spring.
