A pair of big changes have taken place in Providence RI.
iHeartMedia rebranded Hot AC “Coast 93.3” WSNE-FM Taunton MA as “Now 93.3“. Positioning as “The Best Variety of 2K Through Today”, the station’s current airstaff remains in place with Program Director Doug Palmieri and Jenn Dower in mornings, Kristin Lessard in middays, On Air with Ryan Seacrest in afternoons, and WNCI Columbus’ Chris Davis at night.
WSNE-FM rose from a 4.3 to 5.0 in last week’s July 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings.
Across town, Davey Morris has exited as Program Director of CHR “92 Pro-FM” WPRO-FM and Rhythmic CHR “Hot 106.3” WWKX after 31 years at the stations. Morris joined WPRO-FM as an intern in 1990 and spent time in every daypart before settling into afternoons in 1999 and adding APD/MD duties. He would rise to Program Director in 2013 and added Corporate PD duties for Cumulus around the same time. Morris was inducted into the Rhode Island Radio and Television Hall of Fame in April 2020.
