Veteran Alternative programmers John Allers and John O’Connell and promotions vet Jonathan Lev have teamed up to launch the nightly syndicated Alternative Soundcheck.
The show will be hosted by Casey McCabe. McCabe hosted nights at CHR “Amp 97.1” KAMP Los Angeles from 2009 to 2020 and has also worked at Alternative stations 106.7 KROQ Los Angeles, “X107.5” KXTE Las Vegas, and 100.9 KRZQ Reno in his career.
The show debuts on Monday, September 20 on Hall Communications Alternative “99.9 The Buzz” WBTZ Plattsburgh NY/Burlington VT.
Tonight (Monday, September 20), at 7p (Eastern), WBTZ/Burlington, VT (99.9 The Buzz) will premiere Alternative Soundcheck, a new syndicated night show created exclusively for Alternative/Rock stations. Hosted by Casey McCabe (formerly Amp-LA, KROQ), Alternative Soundcheck is committed to spotlighting new Alternative releases, while featuring Alternative favorites from the format’s storied past. Alternative Soundcheck promises to deliver relatable and compelling artist content along with nightly music-driven features such as, “The Alternative Soundcheck Sizzle Track, Soundcheck Internationale, Alt Take, Final Countdown, How We Got Here and more. In addition to the broadcast component, Alternative Soundcheck will heavily engage active listeners through its website and social media platforms @AltSoundcheck
