Janine Wolf has announced she will end her 44 year radio career at the end of 2021.

Wolf has spent the past eleven years at iHeartMedia AC “K103” KKCW in her native Portland OR, first as morning co-host and currently in middays. After stints at KUIK, KYTE, KWJJ and KGW, Wolf moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and spent time at KHJ, KHTZ, KNX-FM/KODJ, KBIG, KZLA and multiple syndicators through 2001. After a stint in landscaping, Wolf returned to Portland in 2005 joining Clear Channel’s 105.9 KIZJ/KQOL through its “Smooth Jazz 105.9” and “Kool 105.9” incarnations. After brief runs at 1190 KEX and 750 KXL, she joined KKCW in 2010.

Wolf made the announcement in a long blog post on KKCW’s website writing, “After 40+ years on the radio, I have decided to hang up my headphones and retire. I truly didn’t think I’d be as emotional about it as I am because I’m ready, but at the same time, I’m letting go of a career that I have loved. How lucky am I that I get to finish my career after eleven years at an amazing radio station, K103. I’m thankful to get to do it on my terms, and grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve met, worked with, and become life-long friends with because of it. Above all, I’m thankful for the listeners, YOU are the biggest reason I have loved this work so much!”
