Soaring Eagle Productions has rebranded its Christian AC “Shine-FM” network as “Rise-FM“.
The move follows the recent expansion of the brand from just 88.5 WKEN Kenton and 88.9 WSOH Zanesfield OH. Soaring Eagle purchased 88.9 WHEI Tiffin in May 2020, 90.7 WVMC-FM Mansfield, 91.1 W216AH Ashland, and 102.7 W274AN Jefferson/Wooster in September 2020, and 90.1 WJEE Bolivar in January 2021.
Owner/GM Mark Boyer told the Bellefontaine Examiner, “God provided us with a new challenge to force us to grow as a station, and we are rising to the occasion. When we sat down as a staff to discuss a new name, our focus was finding one that would fit well with the current state of our world. But also a name that would be ‘a call to action’ for believers. The foundation of our faith is based on the resurrection of Jesus. As the saying goes, ‘He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!”
Boyer notes on the station’s website that RISE is also an acronym standing for “Reflect God’s Love, Inspire Hope, Share His Word, Encourage Hearts”
