After dropping the “iHeart Podcast Channel” programming from AMs in Allentown PA and Albuquerque, iHeartMedia has dropped the all-podcast programming from its only other 24/7 affiliate.
95.9 WEBG Mina NY/Erie PA has flipped to a simulcast of Sports “Fox Sports 1330” WFNN Erie. WFNN carries the national “Fox Sports Radio” lineup in all dayparts. The move marks the end of the second attempt at an all-podcasting programming lineup. CBS Radio initiated the format in the very early days of podcasting on “K-You Radio” 1550 KYCY San Francisco from 2005 to 2007.
Then WLTM, the station had adopted the all-podcast programming in December 2019. iHeartMedia parked the WEBG call letters on the station after flipping Country “Big 95.5” Chicago to Rock in September 2020.
