Two years after flipping Classic Hits “B94.5” W233CF/WDAQ-HD4 Danbury CT to Classic Rock “94.5 The Hawk“, has returned to its previous format.
Retaining its “Hawk” branding, the station is now positioning as “Danbury’s Classic Hits”. The station registered a 0.6 share in the Fall 2021 Nielsen Audio ratings. When it launched, Berkshire Hot AC “98Q” WDAQ led the Danbury market, but it has since fallen behind Townsquare Media’s Classic Rock “I95” WRKI which led the market with a 9.2 share. Connoisseur Media’s 99.1 WPLR New Haven added an additional 2.3 share to the format.
