Lotus Communications has flipped Sports “ESPN Radio 94.5” KTHX-FM Sun Valley/Reno NV to Regional Mexican “Que Buena 94.5“.
KTHX-FM will feature Estrella Media’s “Don Cheto Al Aire” in mornings from 5-11am and Program Director Macro ‘El Aracran’ Esparza in afternoons. Esparza joins KTHX-FM from Davis Broadcasting’s “La Raza 102.3/107.1” WLKQ/WTSH Atlanta where he spent the past seven years in multiple dayparts including mornings. He has also worked on air for Cesar Chavez Foundation’s “La Campesina” network and programmed “La Jefa 1270” WKBF Quad Cities IL-IA.
With the launch of Que Buena, the ESPN Radio network programming has moved to Lotus’ 1450 KHIT/94.1 K231CS Reno replacing CBS Sports Radio.
The move is the second Spanish launch in Reno this month following Friday’s flip of Classic Country “Willie 96.9” K245BV Reno/97.7 K249ES Carson City/KLCA-HD3 to Spanish AC “Suave 96.9“.
