TEGNA has appointed Matt Fishman as Operations Manager and Program Director of Sports “97.1 The Fan” WBNS-FM and “ESPN 1460” WBNS Columbus OH.
Fishman joins the stations from Good Karma Brands where he served as Director of Content for “ESPN Cleveland” 850 WKNR since January 2020. Fishman has also spent a decade at SiriusXM in multiple roles including Director of College Sports Programming from 2008-2015. He has also programmed 610 KCSP Kansas City and nine years as a producer and later Sports Director of WSCR Chicago.
Fishman succeeds Matt Erhardt, who departed the stations last month.
WBNS-Radio, the longtime radio flagship home of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Crew, and Columbus’ home of the Cleveland Browns has named Matt Fishman Program Director and Operations Manager.
