Guaranty Media has promoted Jimmy Brooks to Program Director of Country “100.7 The Tiger” WTGE Baton Rouge LA.
Brooks has been hosting middays at the station since April 2022. He also previously worked at the station as APD/MD/midday host from 1999 to 2002 and again from 2004-08 with a stint at 104.5 WGFX Nashville in-between. He takes the programming reins that had been held by Abby Leigh until her move to Curtis Media’s 94.7 WQDR Raleigh NC as APD/MD/midday host in August.

This homecoming marks his third stint with Guaranty Media, a testament to his commitment to the company. Throughout his extensive career, Jimmy’s roles encompassed Assistant Program Director, Music Director, and hosting various daypart shifts.
Jimmy has a genuine love for country music, and a solid bond with the genre and its artists, so he has a unique connection with his audience.
Since stepping back into Guaranty Media as the Midday host for “The Jimmy Brooks Experience” in June 2021, Jimmy has captivated listeners with his personality. The midday has become a hub for country music lovers all across South Louisiana, complete with “The Lunchtime Rewind.”
As the Program Director for WTGE-FM, Jimmy will spearhead the station’s programming, ensuring it remains the go to station for country music fans in Baton Rouge. His profound understanding of the country music genre and the uniqueness of the Baton Rouge market make him the perfect person for the PD role previously held by Abby Leigh who landed a job with Curtis Media’s WQDR in Raleigh, NC.
