Scott Shannon’s weekly syndicated “Scott Shannon Presents America’s Greatest Hits” focusing on Pop Hits from the 1970s through early 1990s will conclude its run with the show airing on the weekend of Decemeber 30 and 31.
Syndicator USRN has informed stations of the conclusion of the show and will offer Radio Genius Productions’ “Rewind with Gary Bryan” hosted by “K-Earth 101” KRTH Los Angeles morning host Gary Bryan as a substitute beginning in January.
Shannon launched “America’s Greatest Hits” as a joint venture with CBS Radio and USRN in October 2014 following his departure from Cumulus Media and Westwood One. With Shannon departing now Audacy owned 101.1 WCBS-FM New York last December, he inked a deal in September to move his 24/7 “True Oldies Channel” to Local Radio Networks starting in January.

The content on this show was pretty good! “Rewind” will be an excellent replacement though. .
Scott Shannon is a great talent. He will be missed. Stations looking for a replacement should consider another radio legend- M.G. Kelly. M.G. is the “Machine Gun Kelly” of KHJ Los Angeles and the only logical legend to replace this legend. His shows are on a demo page at http://mgkelly.net/demos/index.asp.
