Following the retirements of morning hosts Chris O’Brien and Janeen Coyle last month, Cumulus Media Classic Hits 103.5 WGRR Cincinnati has found its replacement across the hall.
Jim Day has moved from mornings at AC “Warm 98.5” WRRM to take over mornings at WGRR. Day had been with WRRM since 2017 first as morning show producer before rising to host in August 2018. Day previously hosted mornings at Country stations 92.3 WIL St. Louis in 2015-16, 95.5 KWEN Tulsa from 2009-15, 95.5 WSM-FM Nashville 2006-08, and 99.1 WHKO-FM Dayton. He also was APD/midday host at WHKO-FM and worked in multiple on-air roles at 97.1 WBNS-FM Columbus OH.
Day’s former co-host at WRRM, Amanda Orlando, remains in place now hosting solo.
Cumulus Media (NASDAQ: CMLS) announces that it has appointed Jim Day as On-Air Host, Mornings, on Cincinnati Classic Hits station 103.5 WGRR-FM. Day debuts this week and can be heard Monday through Friday from 5:00am-9:00am.
Day moves from his previous on-air post at Cumulus Cincinnati sister station Warm 98.5/WRRM-FM, where he was heard in PM drive. Prior to that, he hosted mornings on Warm 98.5. He moves to mornings on WGRR-FM following the retirement of former Morning Co-Hosts Chris O’Brien and Janeen Coyle on December 22nd, after 28 years on-air. Prior to joining Cumulus Cincinnati in 2016, Day hosted mornings on WHKO-FM in Dayton, OH; on KWEN-FM in Tulsa, OK, and on WSM-FM in Nashville, TN.
