iHeartMedia has announced that Terrence ‘City Newwss’ Sigers has joined their Columbus cluster as Program Director and midday host on Classic Hip Hop “Throwback 105.3” W287CP/WZCB-HD2 and APD/afternoon host on Hip Hop “106.7 The Beat” WZCB.
Sigers joins the stations after a previous long run in the market on Radio One’s “Power 107.5” WCKX.
City Newwss has joined iHeartMedia brands 106.7 The Beat (WZCB-FM) and Throwback 105.3 (WZCB-HD2). Terrence Sigers a.k.a. City Newwss has a 25-year history on radio in Columbus. He brings his expertise and community involvement to iHeartMedia Columbus as Program Director of Throwback 105.3 and Assistant Program Director of 106.7 The Beat. He will also be heard from 10am-2pm on Throwback 105.3 and 2pm-6pm on 106.7 The Beat. City Newwss says, “The real key to any type of success is resilience. I look forward to bringing that to my new role at iHeart.”
City will report to WZCB-FM PD D-Strong and Senior VP of Programming Michael McCoy who says, “City instantly elevates any room he is in. His infectious personality, consistent optimism and experience in Columbus’ Black Community will have an immediate effect on our Hip Hop and R&B brands. We are looking forward to it!”
