Former “Lucy 93.3” KGSR Austin Program Director Jay Michaels is moving across town to as Brand Manager of Recharge Media Variety Hits “96.3 Jack-FM” 1490 KJFK/96.3 K242DE Austin and 96.3 KJFK-FM Llano TX.
Michaels is an Austin programming veteran. In addition to his run programming KGSR from 2020 until its flip to Spanish CHR “Latino 93.3” last July and sister AAA “97.1 Austin City Limits Radio” K246BD, he previously programmed Dance CHR “Mega 93.3” KXMG and Hip Hop “Hot 93.3” KDHT in the early 2000s and was Music Director at CHR 96.7 KHFI. Michaels has also programmed “100.3 Jack-FM” KJKK, CHR “Amp 103.7” KVIL, Alternative “102.1 The Edge” KDGE and Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas, CHR 104.1 KRBE Houston, Hot AC “Sweet 98.5” KQKQ and Rhythmic CHR “Power 106.9” KOPW Omaha, and spent six years as Operations Manager for Sinclair Communications Norfolk VA.
