KRSK Brand Manager Jaime Tanchyk will add afternoon host duties at Country “99.5 The Wolf” KWJJ-FM Portland starting Monday, March 18 under the name ‘JT’. He joined the cluster in February 2020 as KRSK’s APD/MD/afternoon host and rose to Brand Manager last June. He previously served as APD/midday host at Rhythmic Hot AC “Hot 103.7” KHTP Seattle as ‘Tanch’ from 2014 until November 2021 after beginning his career in Albany NY with stints as night host at Rhythmic “Jamz 96.3” WAJZ and APD/nights at CHR “Fly 92” WFLY. He then moved back to WAJZ as Program Director and would also program AAA “104.9 The Peak” WZMR, 90s Hits “105.7 Crush-FM” WQSH and Hip Hop “Hot 99.1” WQSH-HD2 during his time in the market, while also hosting weekends at CHR “103.3 Amp Radio” WODS Boston.
Tanchyk’s move fills the opening created by Tim Taylor’s shift across the hall two weeks ago to afternoons at Classic Rock 92.3 KGON. This marks Taylor’s third stint at KGON as he previously worked there in the late 1990s and served as Assistant Program Director from 2011-2020. He hosted afternoons at KWJJ from 2011 until exiting in the company’s large-scale format restructuring in September 2020 before returning to afternoons in January 2022. He has also spent time in the market at 80s Hits “Mix 107.5” KVMX and Christian AC “104.1 The Fish” KFIS-FM.
