Lotus Communications flipped Classic Hits “Q92.1” KQKZ Bakersfield CA to a Gold leaning Bilingual AC presentation as “Retro 92.1” on Monday, April 1.
Unlike iHeartMedia’s recently launched “Magic” stations in Miami and Fort Myers, KQKZ features a higher percentage of Spanish language music and Spanish imaging.
The former “Q92.1” format had a mere 0.7 share in the February 2024 Nielsen Audio Ratings.
The 2pm hour on Monday, April 1 featured:
