The Waters Group has launched Classic Hits “Sunny 106.5” 540 WGOP/106.5 W293DN Pocomoke City MD.
Positioning as “Nobody Plays More 80s”, WGOP had been simulcasting Vinco Media’s “B106.1” WBBX Pocomoke City since returning to operation last year after its facilities were destroyed in a fire in August 2022. WBBX shifted from Classic Hits to 60s/70s Oldies in June upon the start of an LMA to Steve Clendenin’s Maryland Media One.
The Waters Group acquired WGOP/W293DN in April 2023 from Birach Broadcasting.
