After five years as part of “The Rod Ryan Show” on iHeartMedia Rock/Alternative “94.5 The Buzz” KTBZ-FM Houston, Tessa Barrera is departing the show at the end of the week.
Barrera has been pulling double-duty since July 2023 also serving as co-host of the daily “Houston Life” on KPRC-TV Houston, which she says she will focus on for now. She originally joined KTBZ-FM in September 2019 after spending a year at iHeart News/Talk 640 KFI Los Angeles as a news anchor and producer. She also spent four years in television in Corpus Christi as a reporter and sportscaster for KRIS/KZTV and was a host on “ESPN 1440” KEYS Corpus Christi.
Ryan noted that the show will be conducting a wide open search for their next co-host.
