Audacy Sports “670 The Score” WSCR Chicago has promoted Leila Rahimi to co-host alongside Marshall Harris for “Rahimi and Harris” from 10am to 2pm weekdays.
While Audacy says that this role marks Rahimi as the first female, full-time, primetime, lead sports radio host in Chicago, she previously co-hosted from 9am-12pm with Dan Bernstein from January 2021 to June 2022 when she took a full-time role at WMAQ-TV Chicago including serving as main sports anchor from 2022 until her exit last year. Rahimi first joined WSCR in 2017 as a contributor. She also spent five years at NBC Sports Chicago hosting Cubs and White Sox pre and post-game shows and has spent time at networks including MLB Network, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, CSN Houston, and Fox Sports San Diego.
VP/Sports Programming Mitch Rosen said, “We’re committed to having top-tier hosts who are respected by local teams and can connect with our listeners through thoughtful and engaging opinions. Leila is one of the hardest-working teammates at The Score and her knowledge of Chicago sports has made her a beloved voice among the city’s fans. We’re thrilled to elevate her into this role and launch this new midday show alongside Marshall Harris.”
Rahimi commented, “I’ve been happy to be a part of The Score team on a regular basis since late 2020, and I’m very excited to add a new chapter hosting the midday show in this role. The support The Score listeners have shown over the years has meant the world to me, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with them every day from ten to two o’clock.”
Rahimi takes the co-host spot alongside Harris that had been held by Bernstein until his firing last month after making threats to dox a user on social media.
