Alpha Media Classic Country “104.1 The Ranch” KKUS Tyler TX has dropped local origination and is now utilizing Westwood One’s 24/7 Classic Country programming.

With the change, KKUS has dropped Compass Media Networks’ Big D & Bubba from mornings. KKUS had picked up the show in August 2021 days after being dropped by Townsquare Media’s 101.5 KNUE after 21 years. Diane Day, who had been simultaneously hosting middays on KKUS and Country 105.7 KYKX, remains on the latter.

With the shift, KKUS has also re-imaged to include its simulcast on 103.7 K279CI Longview fed by KYKX-HD2 to cover the east side of the Tyler/Longview market. It also has dropped the Red Dirt Country it had been mixing in.
