Failla, who also hosts a Saturday night show on Fox News Channel, said, “As a former NYC cab driver who spent all day listening to WOR, the idea of joining this iconic station feels like something straight out of a movie. Hopefully I don’t get as many red-light tickets this time around.”
Program Director Tom Cuddy said, “Known for his sharp wit, fearless takes and refreshing lightness in the political world, we are delighted to welcome Jimmy to the WOR family and to be heard in his hometown. Jimmy’s show informs and entertains, which is a perfect combination for our tri-state area audience.”
The show takes the timeslot that had been held by CBS News Radio’s John Batchelor Show. Also exiting WOR is Creative Services Director Howard Hoffman. Hoffman joined WOR in 2019 after a seventeen year run in the same role at KABC Los Angeles. Hoffman earlier in his career was an on-air personality at stations including mornings at “Hot 97” WQHT in the late 80s plus time at WABC and WPIX-FM. He also held on-air roles at KOPA and KKFR Phoenix and KMEL San Francisco.
