Following his exit from iHeartMedia’s 1200 WOAI San Antonio last November, Compass Media Networks’ “Joe Pags Show” hosted by Joe Pagliarulo will return to the market as Alpha Media’s 550 KTSA/107.1 K296GK San Antonio becomes its new flagship station starting Tuesday, July 1.
SVP/Market President Lance Hawkins said, “Joe Pags represents everything we value at KTSA, He’s dynamic, authentic, and rooted in Texas values. Our mission is to build radio brands that are Live & Local, deeply involved in the communities they serve, and always evolving. Pags’ addition to KTSA proves that mission in action.”
Pags said, ““I am thrilled to call KTSA the new flagship for the Joe Pags Show. I’ve been based in San Antonio for 20 years and have always been a fan of the amazing hosts on KTSA. It’s truly an honor to get back on the air in SA and talk with these amazing people on their ride home once again. I can’t thank Jeff Warshaw, Lance Hawkins, Greg Martin, and Dax Davis enough for this remarkable opportunity!“
With the addition of the Joe Pags Show to KTSA, the station will adjust its lineup. Trey Ware and Sean Rima will now air from 6-10am. Ware currently anchors from 5-7am and Rima from 9-11am with the duo hosting together from 7-9am. Jack Riccardi will move from 4-7pm to a split airing with his “Jack In 60 Minutes” podcast airing in the 10am hour and he hosting live from 3-5pm. The Markley, van Camp and Robbins Show remains in the 11am-1pm timeslot, while Dave Ramsey Show is trimmed back an hour to run from 1-3pm. The station will cut the first hour of the Lars Larson Show to run from 8-10pm, with Dana Loesch and Red Eye Radio remaining in overnights.
Pagliarulo had been based WOAI from 2005 until las November in the same 5-8pm timeslot. Prior to San Antonio, he mainly served as a television news anchor with time in Flint, Grand Rapids, and Lansing MI and Albany NY, but began his career in radio in West Palm Beach FL and later worked at WXDX Detroit, WHAM Rochester and WGY Albany. After first being carried by a handful of other iHeart stations including KPRC Houston, KHOW Denver, KTLK Minneapolis, and KEX Portland, his show entered national syndication in 2014 as a temporary replacement for Premiere Networks’ “America Now” in 2014 before launching his own show with Compass Media Networks in 2015.
