After being announced back in August, Telemedia Broadcasting’s sale of its Fredericksburg VA stations to Allen Shaw’s Centennial Broadcasting has been filed with the FCC.
Centennial will pay $2.3 million for Classic Hits “Superhits 95.9” WGRQ Fairview Beach and Country “Thunder 104.5” WGRX Falmouth VA to join its existing duo of Hot AC “B101.5” WBQB and News/Talk 1230 WFVA Fredericksburg.
Original Report 8/13: Allen Shaw’s Centennial Broadcasting is doubling up in Fredericksburg VA with the acquisition of Classic Hits “Superhits 95.9” WGRQ Fairview Beach and Country “Thunder 104.5” WGRX Falmouth VA from Carl Hurlebaus’ Telemedia Broadcasting Inc.
Centennial adds the two stations to its existing pair of Hot AC “B101.5” WBQB and News/Talk 1230 WFVA Fredericksburg. Terms were not disclosed.
