Midwest Communications has combined its News/Talk brands in Duluth and Hibbing MN.
650 WNMT Nashwauk/Hibbing has begun simulcasting 610 KDAL/103.9 W280FB Duluth under new KDAH call letters. The stations are now branding as “Northland News Radio“. The stations feature a mostly local lineup including Dave Strandberg and Jackie Jacobi in mornings, Bruce Ciskie from 10-11am, Brad Bennett from 11am to 2pm, and the regionally syndicated Sports show hosted by Bob Sansevere from 4-5pm. National shows include Markley, VanCamp & Robbins from 2-4pm, Dave Ramsey from 5-8pm, and CBS News’ The Takeout from 8-9pm. WNMT previously carried an all-syndicated lineup.
Northpine notes that this becomes the third Hibbing station in Midwest’s cluster to simulcast one of its Duluth stations joining Classic Rock 94.9 KQDS-FM Duluth on 106.3 KQDX Hibbing and Classic Country “Duke-FM” 102.5 WDKE Superior WI/96.1 KDKE Coleraine MN.
