Radio Luz To Come To An End In Dallas

Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
October 21, 2025

Radio Luz 1440 620 KTNO Dallas Business KEXBSalem Media Group will drop the Spanish Christian format “Radio Luz” on 620 KTNO Plano/102.5 K273BJ Dallas at the end of the month.

The station had assumed the format and brand in 2019 from former sister 1440 KEXB when that station was sold to Relevant Radio and swapped call letters with 620. The format dates back to 1997 and previously operated on 1440 as “Radio Vida” and “Radio Esperanza” prior to taking on the “Radio Luz” name following its sale to Salem in 2011.

In a translated message, the station shared, “With hearts full of sadness but also of gratitude, we announce that next October 31, after almost 4 decades of broadcasting hope and faith, Radio Luz will come to an end. This journey has been a blessing, and each one of you has been an integral part of this mission. We want to express our most sincere thanks to all the ministries, churches, organizations and businesses who have joined us on this journey. Your support has been a beacon of light in the darkness, and together we have shared God’s love through the radio waves. To our beloved audience, thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives. Your prayers, testimonies and faithfulness have inspired us to press forward every day. Though this chapter closes, we know that the message of love and hope we shared will continue to resonate in your hearts.”

KTNO was Salem’s final in-house Spanish Christian outlet following the flip of “Radio Oasis” 990 WMYM Miami in June. 1650 KBJD Denver previously used the “Radio Luz” branding until it was leased to Iglesia La RED as “Radio La Red” in 2022.
