Northern Kentucky University in purchasing two stations to spread its AAA programming beyond the Cincinnati area into a broad area of Kentucky and Southern Ohio. Country “Rebel 105.9” WPFB-FM Middletown, OH which covers the northern portions of Cincinnati along with Dayton and “Power Country 104.1” WPAY-FM Portsmouth, OH, which can also be heard in Ashland, KY and Huntington, WV will flip to a simulcast of 89.7 WNKU Highland Heights, KY on February 1 following the purchase of the two stations for $6.75 Million.
910 WPFB Middletown and 94.5 W233BG Port Union, OH will be spun-off by WNKU once a new owner can be located.
