After running Country Christmas music for the past two months, Draper Media has flipped Country 94.3 WINX-FM St. Michaels/Easton MD to “Dockside Radio“.
The new format is described as being “the Mid-Shore’s soundtrack for life near the water”. The station is promoting a music mix of Yacht Rock with artists such as Michael McDonald, Steely Dan, and Toto, “Beachy Country” from Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band, “Acoustic Chill” from the likes of Jack Johnson, Sublime, and Colbie Caillat, and lots of Jimmy Buffett.
Matt Spence, PD/afternoon host at sister AC 96.7 WCEI-FM Easton, will be hosting mornings at the station with Operations Manager and Classic Rock “Big 107.7” WGBG Fruitland/Salisbury morning host Steve Monz in afternoons.
The station is running promos directing its former Country audience to sister stations “Coast Country” 103.9 WRDE-FM Berlin/106.3 WCEM-FM Cambridge, 103.7 WXCY Havre de Grace, and “100.9 Classic Country” WAAI Hurlock.
