After exiting iHeartMedia CHR 93.3 WFLZ Tampa in October, Katie Sommers is returning to the station to join the “The Joe Show” morning show and return to her former midday post.
Sommers previously spent seventeen years in middays at WFLZ, tracked at multiple stations across the country including WHQC Charlotte and KZHT Salt Lake City, and served as Promotions Coordinator for WFLZ. She began her career at the company at multiple stations in Madison WI.
She now joins Joe Carballo, Ashley Nics and Jed Shilling, who have anchored mornings at WFLZ since May 2020. “The Joe Show” is also heard in afternoons at “Channel 95.5” WKQI Detroit.
