Longtime iHeartMedia programmer Joey Brooks has exited his multiple roles at the company.
Brooks currently served as SVP/Programming overseeing the company’s Hartford and New Haven CT clusters, directly programmed “Country 92.5” WWYZ Hartford and “101.7 The Bull” WBWL Boston, hosted afternoons at WWYZ, and was Director of Brand Strategy & Programming for the company’s Hot AC stations. His current tenure with the company began in 2012 as PD of Hot AC 93.9 WMIA-FM Miami where he would also add APD/MD duties for CHR “Y100” WHYI in 2016 before relocating to Hartford in 2019.
Brooks began his career as an intern at WAAF Boston and then spent time at “Star 93.7” WQSX Boston and WXLO Worcester before joining iHeart CHR “Kiss 95.7” WKSS Hartford in 2000 rising from weekend host to MD/afternoons. He would then move to CHR “Q102” WIOQ Philadelphia in 2006 as APD/MD/afternoon host and then spent three years at 104.5 CHUM-FM Toronto before moving to Miami.
