Bravo Mic Communications has flipped Hot AC “Magic 104.9” KMVR Mesilla Park/Las Cruces NM to Rock “Rock 104.9“.
The new brand creates a competitor to Adams Radio Group’s “Classic Rock 98.7” KSNM and away from Adams CHR “Hot 103.1” KHQT. The Las Cruces market hasn’t had a locally targeted current Rock station since Bravo Mic flipped “99.5 The Rocket” KXPZ to Country in 2014. The new brand pays tribute to its predecessor with its logo.
Previous afternoon host Jack Lutz remains with the station to host mornings. Operations Manager and Classic Hits “101 Gold” KVLC morning host ‘Ricky T’ Tarin will follow in middays. Shannon Ellis moves from afternoons at “Zia Country 99.5” KXPZ to host afternoons.
