FCC Actions
A Notice of Violation has been issues to New West Broadcasting’s 94.7 KWXX-FM Hilo HI for spurious emissions into the airplane band. An FCC inspector said, “At the time of inspection, the agent found that spurious emissions in the aviation frequency band of 108 137 MHz were more than 600 kHz removed from the carrier and were not attenuated at least 80 dB below the unmodulated carrier level”.
License Cancellations
Community Broadcasters has surrendered the license for 1260 WHYM Lake City SC after it ceased operations in December 2025. WHYM had been simulcasting Conservative Talk “Live 95” 95.3 WFRK Quinby.
After closing on its $20,000 purchase of 88.5 WXPI Jersey Shore PA, Family Life Ministries surrendered the license of the station in order to upgrade 88.3 WCOB State College (see below)
