Saga Communications has announced the return of Tom Morgan to the Charlottesville market as PD/morning host at Classic Rock “97.5 3WV” WWWV Charlottesville.
Morgan returns to the market from Harrisonburg VA where he has been PD/afternoon host at Saga’s 96.9 WSIG since 2023, while tracking afternoons at Country “92.7 C-Ville Country” WCVL-FM Charlottesville. He had two stints in the market as APD/morning host at Monticello Media Country “99.7 CYK” WCYK from 2006-09 and again from 2016-23. Morgan has also held roles at WOKI, WIVK and WNML Knoxville, hosted mornings at WSJO Atlantic City NJ, and weekends at WBEB Philadelphia.
Morgan will anchor the “Big Greasy Breakfast with Morgan in the Morning” and continue to hold afternoons at WCVL-FM. He said, “There are big expectations, but I’m living the dream here. This is an opportunity that you don’t pass up.”
Morgan takes the positions held by ‘Highway John’ Spangler until his retirement last September following 25 years at the station. Former morning co-host Tawne has moved to middays.
