Paul ‘Neanderpaul’ Marshall has exited as Assistant Brand Manager and morning host at Audacy Rock “98 Rock” 98.5 KRXQ Sacramento.
Marshall wrote, “Well…this one hurts. As of right now, I have been what they call “R.I.F.d.” It’s another way of saying laid-off. I lost my job. TBH…I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. I’m pretty numb. If anyone knows of a radio gig or music programming position available, I sure could use the lead.”
Marshall had joined KRXQ in June 2024 to return for what he called a “very special gig” to return to the station where he had served as Music Director and afternoon host from 2001 to 2004. Prior to returning to KRXQ, Marshall had spent fourteen years in Phoenix first as PD/afternoon host at Rock 93.3 KDKB until its flip to Alternative in 2014. He then moved to KSLX where he spent time in nights, moved to mornings in 2015 and then middays in April 2023. During his storied Rock radio career, Marshall has also worked at WAAF and WBCN Boston, WMFS-FM Memphis, WCKW New Orleans, WEGE Columbus, and KQRC Kansas City.
During his tenure at KRXQ, Marshall was also heard on additional Audacy Rock stations including WTPT Greenville SC and WRXR Chattanooga. He can be reached at Neanderpaul.com.
We have heard of additional exits today at Audacy Sacramento who have not gone public yet.
