The move positions the station in between Greater Media’s Active Rock 101.1 WRIF and Classic Rock 94.7 WCSX. The demise of the previous format should give some breathing room to sister CHR “Channel 95.5†WKQI and Hot AC “Fresh 100.3†WNIC as it eliminates overlap between the three.
106.7 ran a similar format from 2002 to 2006 as “106.7 The Drive“. The new format is debuting jockless with 10,000 songs commercial free.
