Original Report 3/15: A morning show shuffle will result in the return of Alternative Rock to Toledo on Monday, March 19.
The shuffle begins with Hot AC “Star 105.5” WWWM morning team Tim & Jeff moving to sister “Power 105.7” KMCK Fayetteville, AR. To replace them, Andrew Z’s “People’s Show” will shift from CHR “100.7 The Vibe” W264AK to Star.
With Z moving, Cumulus will drop the CHR format on 100.7 and resurrect “100.7 The Zone“. The Zone first appeared in Toledo from 2001 to June 2009 on what is now Sports “106.5 The Ticket” WLQR-FM. It was resurrected via translator on 100.9 and then 100.7 in June 2010 before flipping to CHR “The Vibe” in July 2011.
The morning show shuffle continues as the syndicated Free Beer & Hot Wings will move from Classic Rock 94.5 WXKR to The Zone. Mark Benson moves from AC “My 98.3” WMIM back to his previous home at WXKR.
