Update 5/7: 106.9 ended the all Sean Hannity programming at 9am this morning. It went straight into an ABC Newscast and Glenn Beck with the “IQ 106.9” branding in place.
Original Report 5/6: Merlin Media will debut News/Talk “IQ 106.9” WWIQ Camden/Philadelphia on Monday, May 7.
In this video posted on YouTube, Larry Mendte goes after the existing Philadelphia news media and announces he will debut at 5am Monday. He takes particular aim at CBS and their KYW 1060 for being stale and having a corporate agenda.
So far we know Mendte and Al Gardner will be heard from 5am to 9am. Sean Hannity will still be heard either in afternoon drive or tape delayed to evenings. The worst kept secret in radio is that Rush Limbaugh will debut on 106.9 once his 90 day’s notice ends on CBS’ 1210 WPHT. We should add that @IQ1069FM is already following Limbaugh.

Of course, Scary Larry is the soul of journalistic integrity and will have absolutely no ax to grind in any comments he makes about CBS and KYW.
Just as he had no agenda in all his flattering comments about Merlin’s FM News in New York.
