The FCC has approved the move of Lincoln Financial Media’s “104.3 The Ticket” WAXY-FM West Palm Beach into the Miami market.
Applied for last May when the station was still CBS AC “Sunny 104.3” WEAT, the move will see the station change its city-of-license to Miramar where it will operate with 100kW at 283 meters from a tower off of Hallandale Beach Boulevard.
The move was originally contingent on the now approved move of the Construction Permit of 104.5 Islamorada, FL to 93.5 due to FAA compliance issues. It will also see a few other stations change locations. 104.3 WORZ-LP Key Largo will relocate to 107.9 while 93.5 WKEY-FM Key West moves to 93.7.
The move had been held up due to objections from Clear Channel that have now been denied.
Lincoln Financial Media acquired the station in August 2012 and flipped it to a simulcast of Sports “790 The Ticket” WAXY Miami.
