Cumulus continues the rollout of the Nash-FM brand this afternoon as “Great Country 94.1” WNNF Cincinnati becomes “Nash-FM 94.1“.
WNNF joins eleven other Cumulus Country stations that switched to the Nash branding this week as the company begins to roll-out America’s Morning Show nationally on many of the Nash-FM stations.
WNNF ranked 15th in the Cincinnati market in the Holiday PPM monthly with a 2.7 share. Hubbard’s “B105.1” WUBE was third with a 6.5, while “97.3 The Wolf” WYGY was 17th with a 2.2.
Cumulus announces the launch today of NASH FM 94.1 in Cincinnati. NASH FM 94.1 joins the growing list of what will eventually be more than 60 owned-and-operated Cumulus Country stations operating under the NASH brand. The station was formerly Country formatted WNNF.

Cumulus launched the NASH entertainment brand based on the Country music lifestyle in January 2013 with the flagship NASH FM 94.7 in New York City. In addition to
country radio stations, the NASH brand will include a NASH magazine, concerts/events, online content and television programming.Stations “Powered by NASH” feature exclusive programming content including “Kickin’ It with Kix” hosted by Kix Brooks, “NASH Nights Live” with Shawn Parr and “American Country Countdown.”

Nash 941 is going to have a tough time attracting much mire of a audience share than they already have in Cincinnati as it is. There are too many country stations playing the same songs over and over all wanting a piece of the pie.
My take? Right or wrong…it’s all about Cumulus being able to tell the media buyers that they also have a country station in the “Nati.
