Cumulus Media has flipped Talk/Sports “1300 The Animal” KCSF Colorado Springs to All-Sports “Xtra Sports 1300“.

The market had been without a Sports formatted station since 1580 KREL flipped to Pot Talk in April. The new lineup on KCSF adds Fox Sports Radio’s Dan Patrick and many of CBS Sports Radio’s talent including Jim Rome and Doug Gottlieb. Afternoon host Matt Pauley adds Program Director duties for the station.

Cumulus Media announces the launch this week of Southern Colorado’s first radio station offering “All Sports, All The Time” – the new Xtra Sports Radio 1300 AM/KCSF-AM. The new station offers sports fans play-by-play from many of the region’s most popular sports teams, along with sports radio’s top syndicated shows from Dan Patrick, Jim Rome, Doug Gottlieb, and a stable of great hosts from CBS Sports.

The move also includes the promotion of afternoon talk host Matt Pauley to Program Directorfor Xtra Sports 1300. Pauley also serves as one of the play-by-play announcers for Colorado Springs Sky Sox Triple A baseball team and is sports reporter for cluster mate KVOR.
