[membership level="2,3"] iHeartMedia's Spanish Pop initiative led by Enrique Santos could be making its way to San Antonio. iHeart has registered 1045LatinoHits.com and while the domain is currently pointing to Rhythmic CHR " 104.5 Kiss-FM " KKMY Beaumont (as the company has been pointing domains to other stations recently as a decoy), all expectations are that the new brand will be used for what is now struggling Rhythmic Hot AC " Hot 104.5 " KZEP-FM San Antonio. KZEP currently ranks 19th in the San Antonio market with a 1.9 share. A move to Spanish Pop would attack Univision's cluster and Alpha Media's two Spanish language stations and CHR " Energy 94.1 " KTFM, which has been on an upswing lately to narrow its deficit against iHeart CHR " Mix 96.1 " KXXM. KXXM currently outrates KTFM by a mere 3.9 to 3.5 share difference. With Sinclair's Wine Country Radio ending its LMA for control of 96.7 KNOB Healdsburg/Santa Rosa CA, we may know now who will be taking control of the station. Ken Kushnir's Empire Communications has registered KNOB967.com and WineRadio96.com . Empire owns a few non-broadcast antennas in the Santa Rosa market, but does not currently operate any radio stations.
