[membership level="2,3"] As Audacy CHR " 96.5 TDY " WTDY-FM Philadelphia stunts with all-Taylor Swift this weekend with teasers promoting "Something New" on Monday, May 15 at 9:00am, the company has reserved a domain hinting towards its plans for the station. The " New " in the teasers appears to be more than just about a shift as the company has reserved New965Philly.com for the station. New private social media accounts were reserved for the brand as well. What it does not appear to tell us is what the company plans to do format-wise on the station although all expectations right now point towards a music shift to a more gold based Adult CHR presentation under Audacy Philadelphia Director of Music Programming Tim 'Romeo' Herbster. Audacy does utilized the " New " branding for Hot AC 102.7 WNEW New York, but would likely not be able to replicate that directly to avoid hurting co-owned AC " B101 " WBEB. A simple rebranding would indicate WTDY-FM just not emphasizing currents as the " 96.5 TDY " brand was paired with its "Today's Hits" positioning. Audacy recently moved CHR " B96 " WBBM-FM Chicago to a gold-heavy playlist. Rumors of an upcoming change to WTDY-FM began last month when Program Director Nathan Graham and morning co-host Raven Brinson were both let go within days of one another. The station has been trending up in the past four months 1.2 - 1.7 - 2.1 - 2.2, but still trails iHeartMedia's " Q102 " WIOQ and its 2.8 share in the March 2023 Nielsen Audio ratings. [/membership]
