Original Report 9/2: Clear Channel AC “Soft Rock 93.3” WLZT Ashville/Columbus, OH is stunting with a Top 500 countdown with a new format scheduled to debut following the Labor Day holiday.
Clear Channel registered Oldies933FM.com, which fits the theme of the countdown. Columbus already has three other stations running Classic Hits, however none are as close to the center of the market as 93.3 is. The stations are Saga’s “Rewind 103.5/104.3” WNND Pickerington and WNNP Richwood rimshotting Columbus from the east and northwest respectively, NABCO’s “Classic Hits 103.9” WTDA coming in from the north, and recent move-in “Kool 101.7” WNKO from the northeast.
