Syndicated. Voice tracked. Someone talking at a city they’ve never stepped foot in. Not here.

Market #4 Country powerhouse New Country 96.3 (KSCS-FM) is launching something new—and we’re looking for the right personality to help build it from the ground up.

We’re conducting a targeted nationwide search for a culturally plugged-in, on-air personality who knows how to own a mic, a camera, and a conversation. Someone who can authentically connect with the next generation of country fans through a LIVE & LOCAL weeknight show—and a social presence people actively seek out. This is not a “crack the mic and clock out” role.  This is a build-something-big opportunity.

About the Show

This will be a brand-new evening show designed for younger country fans—listeners who live for new music discovery, follow artists before they break, and build their lives around music, friends, and culture.

This show is:  • Music discovery • Social-first storytelling • Real talk, real life, real connection. It’s not just radio. It’s a vibe.

Who You Are

You don’t just enjoy country music—you live in the world around it. You’re naturally tapped into culture and conversation before it hits the mainstream. You’re confident without being performative. You’re funny, thoughtful, emotionally fluent, and comfortable being yourself—on air, online, and off-mic.

If you:

• Casually post memes like “Jet2Holiday”, “We Listen and We Don’t Judge” or other big cultural moments “just because”

• Love to spill the tea about current happenings in the country world and pop culture

• Can film content on the fly without overthinking it

• Keep a running list of content or show ideas in your Notes app…we should probably talk.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• An authentic voice with genuine passion for country music and lifestyle

• Strong cultural awareness and the ability to speak to younger audiences without forcing it

• Social media expert—especially short-form video (TikTok, Reels, Stories)

• A natural connector who can engage listeners on air, in DMs, comments, and in person

• Creative risk-taker willing to try new ideas, formats, and storytelling approaches

• Confident, compelling communicator with a relatable point of view

• A strong, beyond reproach work ethic and ability to work as both a self-starter and collaboratively with the team.

• On-air radio experience (commercial or college preferred; strong digital creators also encouraged)

What You’ll Do

• Host Y’all Night Long! LIVE, weeknights 7p–12a on New Country 96.3

• Engage listeners in real time via calls, texts, and social platforms

• Create daily social content that complements the show and drives audience growth

• Collaborate with programming, promotions, and digital teams across Cumulus DFW

• Represent the station at concerts, events, and activations as a visible brand voice

Bonus Points (Not Required, But Nice to Have)

• Writing and producing creative radio content

• Familiarity with OpX, Telos, VoxPro, Adobe Audition, Microsoft 365, Audience IO

• Comfort learning new tools and technology quickly
