Beasley Modern Rock “107.9 The Alternative” KVGS Las Vegas dropped its format at 12am this morning and has flipped to Variety Hits as “107.9 Bob-FM“.
The move returns the format to the Las Vegas market for the first time since CBS flipped “100.5 Jack-FM” KKJJ to News/Talk in August 2010. 107.9 has been Modern Rock since 2005, first as “Area 108” and “Area 107.9” before rebranding as “The Alternative” in 2009. The move takes it out of direct competition with CBS’ “X107.5” KXTE.
