Clear Channel is moving and shaking again in St. Louis.
Urban AC “Majic 104.9” KMJM moved without notice at 9am to 100.3 displacing Classic Rock “100.3 The Brew” KBWX. Replacing it on 104.9 is a new Rhythmic CHR “Wild 104.9“.
The Classic Rock format on 100.3 lasted just over five months from its launch on May 23. The move restores the Urban AC/Rhythmic combo that Clear Channel had in the market until 2009, when Urban “100.3 The Beat” began cycling through a series of short lived formats.
Are more changes still on the way in St. Louis? We reported last month that Radio One had registered a number of domains for a flip at Urban AC “Foxy 95.5” WFUN-FM. Did Clear Channel make its move today to prepare itself for whatever Radio One has planned?
