Anchorage, AK gained its third Sports formatted station today as Morris Communications flipped 590 KHAR.
Affiliating with CBS Sports Radio, the new format on KHAR replaces Adult Standards “Heart 590“. The station will run the CBS Sports Radio network around the clock and is also heard on 96.7 K244EG. The Anchorage Daily News reports that KHAR will also air Anchorage High School football, Anchorage Glacier Pilots baseball, and the Fur Rendezvous World Championship Sled Dog.
KHAR joins Clear Channel’s “ESPN 550 The Zone” KTZN and Robbins’ Fox Sports affiliated “1080 The Ticket” KUDO in the three-way Anchorage sports battle.
