After stunting for a few weeks with an all female “Divas” microformat, 99.7 KBZD Amarillo has flipped to Hot AC “Fun 99.7“.

The Tejas Broadcasting station is branding itself as “Amarillo’s Best Music” and has added Premiere Radio Networks syndicated ‘On With Mario Lopez’.

Before stunting the station had been running a Classic Country format as “Legends 99.7“. The Facebook page for the former format, run by the former PD is a textbook description why ownership should have complete oversight of a stations’s page. The about info states, “Sorry to disappoint so many of you all. I am the manager who put the format on the air. They didn’t like me or the format so we are both gone.”
