Original Report 10/4: A format change to Country appears imminent at Artistic Media Partners Classic Rock “95.7 The Rocket” WSHP Attica/Lafayette, IN.
The station’s website currently features a splash page for “Your Country 95.7“, branded as “Lafayette’s Fresh Choice”. YourCountry957.com and 957YourCountry.com were registered by Artisitic earlier this week.
Meanwhile 957TheBull.com was registered anonymously the same day and has a Facebook cover image that features a picture of Lafayette.
WSHP would joing Schurz’ market leading “K105” 105.3 WKOA in targeting the Country audience in Lafayette. 95.7 has been Classic Rock since August 2005 following another short attempt at Country, while the Classic Rock format moved to what is now “95.3 Bob-FM” WBPE. For the past few years the station has dropped Classic Rock in November and December for Christmas Music branded as “North Pole Radio“.
