Lance Ventaby Lance Venta
October 20, 2014

Radio Lazer Broadcasting Latino 97.9 KLMG Sacramento La Gran D 94.3 93.9 Modesto Adelante Media GroupLazer Broadcasting is acquiring four radio and one LPTV stations from Adelante Media in Central California.

The $2.9 million purchase will bring Lazer into the Sacramento and Modesto markets. The company currently owns twenty Spanish language stations in Central and Southern California including the markets of Bakersfield, Oxnard, Riverside, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Reno, NV. Lazer will begin operating the stations today via LMA.

The stations included in the sale are:

  • Modesto – Regional Mexican “La Gran D 93.9” KBBU Modesto
  • Sacramento – Regional Mexican “La Gran D” 94.3 KGRB Jackson/103.3 KBAA Grass Valley, Spanish CHR “Latino 97.9” KLMG Esparto, and “Azteca America” KSTV-LP 32
  • Lazer Broadcasting will likely shift the Regional Mexican formatted stations to its own “Radio Lazer” brand utilized in each market they operate.

Last month Adelante Media agreed to sell its nine Washington State stations to Bustos Media. Following the sales, the company will still own two FM’s in the Boise market, 1 AM, 2 FMs and an LPTV in Salt Lake City, and an FM/LPTV combo in Milwaukee.
